📖 How to Use Filechat

To communicate securely, use Padlocks to lock messages, and your Secret Key to unlock them.

🆕 Starting a New Conversation?

Click "Copy Request Padlock Message" at the bottom of the lockbox to copy a request message you can send to your friend via Discord, Email, or DMs.

Sending a Message

Paste your friend's Public Padlock into the top box.
Type your secret message.
Click Lock & Encrypt Message. The encrypted text generates right in your browser. Copy it and send it anywhere!

Reading a Message

Copy the scrambled payload received.
Paste it into the Read a Message box.
Click Unlock Message to reveal the plaintext.

Filechat

Filechat is a universal zero-knowledge encryption service running entirely client-side on your browser.

There are no central databases or tracking servers. Your keys and messages remain exclusively on your device, allowing you to copy and send encrypted text over any medium.
